About the Researcher My interest in moderating online discussion is grounded in a commitment to supporting environments that encourage the respectful exchange of ideas and exploration of differences. I live in a rural community in New South Wales, Australia. I believe the Internet has enormous potential to alleviate some of the effects of social isolation that have historically been made worse by distance, poverty, marginalisation and the difficulty of accessing information and support.
