Located on a bend of the Little Plains River 22km south west of Bombala, south-eastern New South Wales, Australia, it is in an area well known for its trout fishing and platypus viewing.
Cochabonddu is in a narrow river valley well away from main roads with broad views of rolling hills. The river, only a stone's throw over the ridge on both sides, can be seen and heard from the cottage.
Ideal for fishing and quiet getaways, this recently renovated and fully furnished 2BR cottage comfortably sleeps 3-4 adults - 2 doubles and one single. It has a gas stove, wood and gas heating, electric HWS, tank and river water, septic toilet. Just bring your own food and linen. If you prefer, catering or supply of linen may be arranged.

As fishermen well know, the cottage has
been named after the Cocky Bondy fly. Its name, in turn, is derived
from the Welsh Coch a bon ddu: red with a black
trunk.
The Little Plains River, also known as the Craigie or Bendoc River, offers excellent sport for the fly fisherman.
