Many parents believe the Charcoal plant development decision will have a profound affect on the health and safety of the children and the staff in schools near the plant.
An article in the Illawarra Mercury 1/6/02 reports that students and the community at Broulee and Mogo public schools face severe health and noise risks if the charcoal factory is established on the proposed site, less than 2.5km from the schools.
Write to the Education Minister Mr John Watkins and ask him to rescind this decision.
