The Wilderness Society - legal action status
The Wilderness Society advises that is continuing with its court action against the Planning Minister's decision to approve the charcoal plant, and they have established their legal team. Their appeal is separate to the Charcoalition appeal, but synergistic. The Wilderness Society has received significant moral support from other national and state conservation organisations, who see this fight as pivotal for forest health throughout the country.

The Wilderness Society continues to work hard on the charcoal plant issue, and is committed to supporting our community in this campaign. The charcoal factory is at the forefront of the environment movement's agenda.
