The CHARCOALITION was one year old in August, and in that short time has become a powerful force as a democratic voice of the communities of the Eurobodalla Nature Coast.

Our membership and support group is becoming more widespread and growing stronger by the day

• The NSW Southern coastline has a bourgeoning TOURIST INDUSTRY - the basis of our economy
• An increase in HEAVY VEHICLE TRAFFIC on the 'perilous Princes H'way' may have an adverse effect on the safety and prosperity of many towns and communities along the coast
• PRISTINE WETLANDS AND WATERWAYS could be polluted
• EMISSIONS could be detrimental to our health, especially children, the aged and pregnant women
• Adverse effects on FLORA AND FAUNA and the continued destruction of our PRECIOUS OLD GROWTH FORESTS
• PROPERTY VALUES could plummet with this profound change to heavy industry within the present rural zoning etc etc etc

Lets join together in a peaceful demonstration and 'rev up' our community spirit to show this government that we are united in opposition to this proposal or any other that disregards the value of our well being, lifestyle and that of our environment

• Wear or carry yellow ribbons, 'dress up' to make a statement. Bring banners, posters and up to date relevant signs etc.
• We encourage you to form groups, eg community, sporting, schools, business, youth and senior citizens etc & name your group on large signs or banners.
• We will parade thru the CBD and finish at Mackay Football Park (behind the bowling club) where a number of speakers will bring you up to date on the latest developments and actions.
• There will be a free sausage sizzle for the children - gold coin donation from adults. BYO non-alcoholic drinks
