DEVELOPMENT PROPOSALS DETERMINED BY STATE GOVERNMENT

Since the introduction of SEPP 71 our Association has been concerned by the lack of information being made public by DIPNR as to the progress of applications before the Department.

Does DIPNR provide regular progress reports to Council? If so could Council please publish these reports in its Agenda papers each month?

Progress could be summarised in a table, for instance, giving identification details of each proposal and its current status -- e.g. approved, refused, approval conditional on …..,
more information required on ….. (The dots would be replaced with statements about the conditions imposed or information required)

If the Department does not report to Council then we ask that Council request DIPNR to provide these updates.
