DARK ROOM

[Very slow spiritual feel].

These stone walls, can keep out any gale, but the gale within
With gossamer wings, blindly flee the cold ground, and battle the wind
Oh you know 'bout false walls, and you know 'bout false hope
But do you have the courage, to let go the fraying rope?
Don't be afraid, don't be waylaid by these petty schemes
Like a man in a rocket, or a hair in a locket
I've seen your dark room

This iron tower, is proof 'gainst any blaze, but the blaze within
Glide in moonless rings, on these burnt copper wings, you fall by the hour
Oh the people think they know, how to read your tune
Like they think they know a tapestry, from a simple loom
Don't you weep, don't lose sleep, patience has rewards
There's no mine of fears, and no well of tears
Beyond your dark room

This high castle, is safe from any flood, but the waters within
But I've swum your moat, cut the noose from my throat, and paid for my sins
Now I teeter on the brink, with a hand outstretched to you
My blindfold I have torn to shreds, there's nothing we can't do
Don't fall asleep, baby make the leap, and grab tight my hand
As the stone dragons crumble, we'll take a match and candle
Light up your dark room
