Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions

During the summer of 1997-78 Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions (ANARE) used a Pilatus Porter 'VH-FZB' fitted with ski equipment on the ice near Mawson Station Anatrctica.
The Porter was used to fly with a magnetometer 'bomb'' out the back and TV antenna mounted downwards on the wing for radio echo sounding of ice cap depth.
